Rachel Sycamore
Originally from Kent, Rachel Sycamore now lives in Herefordshire. A qualified cabinet maker and furniture restorer, she completed a Joint BA Honours Degree at Worcester University in Fine Art and Archaeology with Heritage Studies in 2018. She is currently undertaking a Masters Degree in Medieval Archaeology. Rachel's art practice explores the parallels between Art and Archaeology through the construction of cabinets, sculptural boxes and immersive installations. Drawing on narratives from pre-history to present lives, her aim is to evoke atmospheres, encapsulate people's pasts and involve the viewer in mult-sensory experiences.
